Prices and Tax

Prices shown for goods on this site exclude postage and packing unless specifically stated. The charges for postage and packing are shown in the Checkout once you have entered the method of delivery and before you are asked to confirm the order. The price you pay includes VAT at the prevailing rate for all deliveries.

Distance Selling

We comply with the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 (as amended). These regulations give consumers a right to:

  • Receive clear information about the supplier, the goods and the sale before deciding to buy - this information is contained within this website
  • Confirmation of this information in writing - confirmation of the sale are emailed on receipt of the order
  • A cancellation period of 7 working days in which to withdraw from the contract
  • Protection from payment card fraud

 

Conclusion of a Contract

This website and the prices shown constitute an invitation to treat and not an offer capable of acceptance. At all times our acceptance of an order takes place on despatch of the order, at which point the purchase contract will be made. Rumour Lingerie reserves the right to cancel any order at its discretion and at any time before the point of dispatch, including for technical reasons.

Colours

The actual colour of goods may vary slightly from that shown on the website due to the limitations of browser software and monitors, limitations of photographic technology and lighting conditions

 

Confidentiality

All confidential information, including credit card details, are held securely on the Paypal and Worldpay servers, and are protected by their systems. No confidential information is held on the Rumour Lingerie server. Customer details are not passed to third parties and are used only in accordance with the Data Protection Act.

 

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against any claims, losses, liabilities, damages and expenses (including legal fees), arising out of your use of this site.

 

Jurisdiction

The Contract will be governed by the laws of England and Wales and the parties to the Contract submit to the jurisdiction of the English Courts.

 

Consumer Rights

None of the above Terms and Conditions affects your statutory consumer rights.

Delivery & Returns

 

Despatch Policy

Whilst every effort will be made to ensure that all items shown are in stock, we offer no guarantee of availability and this electronic publication does not constitute an offer for sale. Goods are normally despatched within 2 working days of receipt. If we are unable to despatch your order within 7 days, we will contact you by e-mail with an estimated despatch date and offer you the option of cancelling the order. Delivery can take up to 7 days

Currently we only deliver into the UK.

All orders are sent by couier using Hermes UK. You will be sent a email confinering despatch and the relevant tracking information If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact our customer service team admin@rumour-lingerie.co.uk who will be happy to help.

 

Postage costs

Within the UK costs £3.50 - free UK delivery when you spend £50 or more in one transaction

Promotional Periods

During promotional periods, dispatch and delivery times may be extended to between 7 and 10 days due to exceptional levels of customer demand. However, most consignments will continue to be delivered within the normal time periods stated at checkout.

 

Cancellation and Returns

If you wish to cancel the contract and return the goods you must email admin@rumour-lingerie.co.uk with the details of the return, including the order number within 7 days following the date of delivery (the cooling off period). We will email you a returns form.

Except in the case of faulty goods, the customer is responsible for the cost of returning the item(s). It is recommended that the customer sends the item(s) back using a tracked courier service.

You must then complete a returns form and post the item(s) back to us at the following address within 14 days of emailing us. Please return your item(s) with a completed form to the following address: Rumour Lingerie, 11 Church Street, Macclesfield, Chehsire SK11 6LB

  • On the cancellation of a contract, any sum paid by the consumer will be repaid as soon as possible and, in any case, within 30 days of cancellation. The full price paid for the goods will be refunded and this includes the cost of delivery of the goods to the consumer.
  • If you have received the goods before cancelling the contract, you will be under a duty to restore those goods to the supplier at your own cost and, in the meantime, to keep them and take reasonable care of them. This duty to take reasonable care ends if the consumer (at their own expense) sends the goods to the supplier. It is recommended that you retain proof of postage for all returned packages.
  • If you cancel the contract before receiving the goods, and the carrier attempts to deliver the goods, you should not accept delivery from the carrier, and they will return the goods to us. In the event of the carrier leaving the goods, it is the suppliers' responsibility to arrange the return of the goods from you.
  • Carriage costs will not be refunded where there is a partial cancellation of a contract and only some of the goods are returned.
  • Due to the personalised nature of our products, items may only be returned if they have not been worn, remain on the hanger supplied, and have all point of sale swing tickets attached.
  • Please make sure that briefs/thongs/shapewear are tried on over your own underwear. When trying on bras please avoid make up or lotions coming into contact with the item. In the interests of hygiene, we may refuse returns where it is obvious that this advice has not been followed.
  • If returns are rejected, the items will be destroyed and there will be no liability on the part of the company for refund of the cost of the goods or postage.

 

Exchanges

  • Due to the personalised nature of our products, garments may only be exchanged if they have not been worn, remain on the hanger supplied, and have all point of sale swing tickets attached.
  • Please make sure that briefs/thongs/shapewear are tried on over your own underwear. When trying on bras please avoid make up or lotions coming into contact with the item. In the interests of hygiene, we may refuse exchanges where it is obvious that this advice has not been followed. If returns are rejected, the garments will be destroyed and there will be no liability on the part of the company for refund of the cost of the goods or postage.
  • If you wish to exchange the goods for a different size or garment you must email admin@rumour-lingerie.co.uk with the details of the return, including the order number within 7 days following the date of delivery. You must then complete a returns form and post the garment/s back to us within 14 days of emailing us. It is recommended that you retain proof of postage for all returned packages
  • Products may only be exchanged for a different size or colour in the same garment or for another garment of equal or lower monetary value and the difference in cost refunded accordingly.
  • It is recommended that if returning part of a lingerie set, you also return the coordinating pieces so we can offer you another set in the event that your exchange size is not available.
  • Only one exchange can be made per order. If more than one exchange is required, a new order must be placed.
